Note: DC power will also charge the battery when the device is off or running on settings 1-3. It may not charge the battery when the device is running on settings 4-5. You can easily verify the charging status on the home screen.

The Philips Respironics SimplyGo Mini offers multiple alarms and alerts to let users know if the device is not functioning properly. These include a no-breath alarm, a low battery alarm, and an external power failure alarm. If any of these occur, the SimplyGo Mini comes with a user manual. If using AC power, make sure your portable oxygen concentrator is plugged into a known, working outlet. This device is also rated to provide accurate and efficient oxygen therapy at altitudes of up to 10,000 feet.
The SimplyGo Mini portable oxygen concentrator cannot be connected to a CPAP machine. Only continuous flow oxygen concentrators are able to provide proper oxygen therapy while connected to CPAP.

The Respironics SimplyGo Mini comes with a vivid LCD touch display for easy use. Using the display panel, patients can access all the menu and navigate to different settings and reports, including alarm settings, operating mode settings, brightness, etc. Patients can also see reports on their user information on this LCD display.
Using the LCD patients can navigate you from screen to screen, adjust settings, return to a previous screen, etc.
- The Home Button quickly takes back to the home screen from any screen.
- The + and – buttons at the bottom of some screens allow users to scroll through multiple options being displayed on the screen. Pressing the “+” button will increase the intensity of that item you have selected – and can be used to increase brightness or volume. Similarly, the “ –” button will decrease the intensity.
- The Device Tools menu offers buttons allowing users to scroll back and forth through items. Select the item you want to modify through “< and >” then make the change.
The SimplyGo Mini also displays a wide variety of symbols to indicate the current status of the device such as low battery or charging, or to indicate an alarm.

Getting Started With Philips Respironics SimplyGo Mini Portable Oxygen Concentrator
Connect the holding case to the shoulder harness. The SimplyGo Mini standard or extended batteries require an initial uninterrupted charge time of 3.5 hours minimum for the standard and 7 hours minimum for the extended battery before using the SimplyGo Mini portable oxygen concentrator for the first time. As mentioned within the user manual, this can be done by mounting the battery and using the AC Power Cord. Or you can optionally charge the SimplyGo Mini batteries by using the Smart Battery Adapter.
Philips Respironics SimplyGo Mini Warm-Up/h2
When you turn your SimplyGo Mini on for the first time, the manufacturer recommends that you test breathing through it. You will notice the Warm-Up symbol under the setting number during the initial stabilization phase.
SimplyGo Mini will start pulsing automatically about once every five seconds if you are not yet breathing through the cannula. The Respironics SimplyGo Mini portable oxygen concentrator will begin administering pulses based on your breathing rate as soon as you begin breathing through the cannula. For the SimplyGo Mini, it can take up to 20 minutes to stabilize within its oxygen purity requirements. At any time, however, you can start breathing from the SimplyGo Mini.
Philips Respironics SimplyGo Mini Alarm Indicators
The alarm’s sound level is 56 dBA or greater when measured at 1m. Here is a list of the alarm indicators and what they mean:
1. No Breath Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Check the cannula’s connection to the unit.
- Be sure that the nasal cannula is correctly placed on your face and that you breathe through the nose.
- Be sure not to kink or block the cannula tubing.
2. High Breath Rate Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- The indicator resets itself when the breath rate is reduced. Breathe slower or remove the cannula for 30 seconds to reset the alarm.
- Contact the equipment supplier if this indicator routinely lights.
3. Low Oxygen Concentration Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Change to another source of oxygen and contact your equipment provider.
4. Technical Fault Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Switch to an alternative oxygen supply and contact the supplier of your devices.
5. Low Battery Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Connect to a source of electricity or replace the battery.
6. Warm Up Indicator:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- This symbol appears on the screen after the initial startup and clears from the screen once the device has reached the minimum rated Oxygen Purity.
- Contact your equipment provider if it persists on the screen for several hours after startup.
7. No Flow Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Test the cannula for kinks or other blockages that stop the supply of oxygen.
- If the alarm persists, change to another source of oxygen and contact your equipment provider.
8. External Power Failure:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Replace the power supply or connect the device to a battery.
9. Depleted Battery Alarm:
- 1 beep that repeats every 16 seconds.
- Replace the battery or connect the device to a power source.
Philips Respironics SimplyGo Mini Cleaning
SimplyGo’s exterior cover and its rechargeable battery can be cleaned after every patient use along with additional regular cleaning outlined here:
It is important to turn off the device before cleaning and also make sure to disconnect it from any power source.
Remove the battery from the device and use a dry cloth to wipe the battery bay as well as the battery.
To clean the exterior of the device, use a damp cloth with a mild household cleaner. Then use a dry cloth to wipe off any remaining dust particles.
